Eric Ripert and Domenica Marchetti at Hill’s Kitchen
Coming up in May we have two book signings that we are very excited about. On May 5th at 6pm, Eric Ripert, chef and co-owner of Le Bernardin in New York and Westend Bistro here in DC, will be joining us to sign copies of his latest book Avec Eric: A Culinary Adventure with Eric Ripert. This book builds off his PBS series “Avec Eric” and lets the reader follow Ripert as he explores the culture and culinary traditions of regions around the world, then returns to his home kitchen to create simple dishes celebrating each one. We are thrilled to have Ripert join us and please help us welcome him to Capitol Hill on Thursday, May 5th at 6pm as he will be in the store to sign copies of his book.
Also coming up in May is a book signing for DC’s own Domenica Marchetti. We loved having Domenica in the store two years ago when she published Big Night In: More than 100 Recipes for Feeding My Family and Friends Italian-Style and are honored to have her back with her latest book The Glorious Pastas of Italy. Her latest book offers step-by-step instructions for making fresh pasta and offers plenty of variations on the classic egg pasta and includes a glossary of pasta shapes, a source list for unusual ingredients, and a handy guide for stocking the pantry with pasta essentials encourage the home cook to look beyond simple spaghetti. The Washington Post’s Domenica Marchetti will be kicking off her publicity tour at Hill’s Kitchen on Saturday, May 28th at 1pm.
